Community Initiatives
Dixon Hall's Next Step: Culinary Horizons
We’re proud to support Dixon Hall’s Next Step: Culinary Horizons training program by leading select workshops and classes that help job seekers build confidence, skills, and career momentum in the hospitality industry.
This 12-week hybrid program, offered by Dixon Hall in partnership with George Brown College, combines online learning with hands-on kitchen training to prepare participants for culinary and food service roles. With certifications like Food Handler and Smart Serve, along with employment readiness support, students gain practical tools to succeed. As part of our community commitment, our team leads select sessions to share industry insights, mentorship, and real-world experience.
Second Harvest
We proudly support Second Harvest by donating surplus food from several of our hotel properties, helping reduce waste and fight hunger in our communities.
Second Harvest is Canada’s largest food rescue organization, redirecting surplus food to people in need. Their mission, No Waste. No Hunger., reflects our commitment to sustainability and community care. By donating prepared and perishable items from our kitchens, we help keep good food out of landfills and put it to good use. It’s a small step with a big impact.
Terry Fox Foundation
We’re proud to support the Terry Fox Foundation and its mission to fund innovative cancer research inspired by Terry’s legacy of courage, determination, and hope.
Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope sparked a nationwide movement that continues to inspire. Through our participation and fundraising efforts, we support the Foundation’s commitment to a world without cancer. Whether through local runs, donations, or awareness campaigns, we’re proud to help carry Terry’s vision forward.
Massey Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, and the Allied Music Centre
We’re proud to support Massey Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, and the Allied Music Centre in their education and community outreach programs, which are offered free or at low cost to remove financial and systemic barriers and ensure everyone can participate.
This partnership helps sustain initiatives that foster creativity, accessibility, and cultural enrichment. It inspires the next generation of artists, musicians, and audiences across Canada. By supporting these iconic venues, we help build a more vibrant arts community and celebrate the power of live performance to bring people together.
